Primary Day

Weight was flat, BG was normal, and the BP was down slightly.

Lots to do today. Need to go vote in the primary, deposit a check into the N3F account, pick up whatever the VA sent me at the Post Office, maybe stop by Raley's to pick up some tea and necessities, and get home before my 1500 video appointment with Doc Bui. Later, I have some games against the Red Sox, laundry to do (because I didn't yesterday) and if I can squeeze it in before it gets too late, the daily bloggage.

Girls Frontline continues to be interesting and ramping up quickly in difficulty. I think I need to pay more attention to my squad composition since the pistol girls are getting chewed up pretty badly. In Azur Lane, it's the last day of the current RN event, but I don't know if I'll have time to reap more event points. And in F/GO, I have to remember to log in and do my daily missions.

George V butchered a bunch of Songhai cavalry and cleared them out of the highlands south of the mountains that (mostly) separate our two empires. Next step is to found a city on the Florida peninsula to give me access to coal, and maybe open up some trade routes to the city-states out east.

I have oil (and more Splenda than I thought) but I'm working my way through my last bag of flax meal. Fortunately, there's a substantial coupon for it on Amazon, so I ordered a new box, some cinnamon, and the next volume of Komi (#19).

Finally settled the last two bills from Intermountain Healthcare, so that's the last of that. Time now to shave and get going on the business of the day.

Progress on most fronts

Did the voting thing at the Convention Center, which is not quite up the street from the post office as I thought but is rather a couple blocks down and up hill from the Mizpah and Belvada hotels. While the Convention Center itself is a very nice building, I don't fancy walking uphill two blocks from either of those hotels in July, not that I would be deranged enough to hold a convention here in the first place. Anyway, after that I went down to the office and got my package from the VA (which proved to contain metformin and carvedilol), deposited Amanda's check into the N3F account, and killed a bunch of frog portals as I went along.

Stopped at Raley's for more tea, some bread and English muffins, peanut butter, a lot of yogurt, and milk to wash the peanut butter down with. I don't know whether they got shorted on their deliveries or the mobs of seasoned citizens before me pillaged the store brand stuff, but all varieties of Raley's bread were sold out, so I had to shell out $3.50 for a loaf of "artisanal smooth multigrain" bread which didn't impress me one damn bit.

Anyway, I got rung up, lugged it all home, scanned it in and managed to get it all put away before my video appointment with Dr. B, who was as expected very happy about the improved numbers; she trimmed me back to 40 units of Novolin R before dinner, which means if I hit my numbers I'll be down to 20/25/35. That should help with the weight loss. She had a little trouble convincing the system to cough up more test strips, since the VA insists they sent me a bunch on 5/23, but I can't for the life of me find the damn things.

Lost two out of three to the Red Sox at Fenway. The first two games were close, but I got blown out in the third one.

After that, I was too tired to do laundry or blogging. Still, I got most of the to-do list done, and there's always tomorrow.
