Why it's a bad idea to keep wombats as pets. You too can get clawed and/or gnawed by a critter commonly referred to as "the bush bulldozer". There go my retirement plans for a vast wombat ranch in the Appalachians.

Also, wombat poop is square, which is not at all like wolves, really, but is still pretty amazing.

Apparently only three zoos in North America (Brookfield, Toronto, and San Diego) have wombats, and they're all the endangered Northern Hairy-nosed wombat. Bah. At least Toronto has been able to get them to breed, probably by having Dieter inform them that now is the time on Sprockets when we dance the dances of hot marsupial lovin'.
