Well, ain't this some shit.
First I discover that the "new" Kindle did not pick up all the e-books I had on the old Kindle (just the Amazon stuff) and then the Dell decides to seize up in the middle of Fallout: New Vegas and is still stubbornly refusing to boot up properly or play with the Toshiba smart TV that serves as my monitor. So I guess I'll spend part of today sideloading those books from the external drive onto the Kindle, if for no other reason than I need to find David Drake's memory of going back to Duke Law School and discovering over lunch one day that he wasn't over Vietnam after all.
Less irritating, but still annoying: HRB has decided to scrap the perfectly adequate DNA website in favor of Amp, which we'll all have to add "apps" to in order to get it to work half as well as DNA. Ugh. Anyway, I'm going to wait until after Independence Day to screw with it, to say nothing of paying my $35 to Block Academy so I can start knocking out my CE.
The rest of this weekend will be spent in sloth, indolence, and maybe some low-key low-carb gluttony. I have to go out and do laundry today, and I want to make an effort to get to Mass tomorrow, but otherwise I'm not too interested in leaving the house.
