Wombat, Both hubby and I are recovering Catholics. The last time I attended Mass was for my father's funeral. My sister and her family are still active in the Church so we will be going back in a couple of weeks for my niece's First Communion. Then that will prabably be it until someone else dies.
Even thought I don't really even consider myself Catholic anymore I still avoid eating meat on Fridays in Lent, and on especially on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. I don't know why, it must be force of habit. I didn't eat meat yesterday, but the handful of jelly beans I ate probably violates the fast, anyway.
