However, the Staff-Only section of the AD forum might be a better place for commenting on AD issues than LJ. At the very least I generally Friends-lock any AD posts in LJ.
I guess it depends on the issues. If it's something of interest only to other staff members, or something that I think would be damaging to the convention, I'll either post it only to the forum or just keep it offline altogether. However, in this particular case it was something that affected me personally and could also impact other local conventions. So it goes in the LJ.
As to the legal issues, I have some background on this issue after working as a stringer and sometime columnist for Baseball Weekly (back when it was just baseball) so I have a pretty good idea where the line is.
