This would work except that I don't have a MN carry permit and even if I did I'm traveling through several states that don't have reciprocity with MN (or anywhere, for that matter, like IL). Also, the Sportage has no trunk. Not to worry, since I've gotten some good advice on how to deal with the problem and should be okay.
