49 years ago today...

...around 0500, I arrived on the planet. Celebrated in a pretty low-key fashion at home by consuming steak & baked potato, both of which were good and large. Delicious caek was had at work but not on my account; the boss and his missus celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary today. Managed to eat most of my slices -skipping the frosting for great glucose justice - and wound up with a dinnertime reading of 92. Go me!

Also picked up S.M. Stirling's The Sunrise Lands, which has started off with a bang. Online stuff can wait; I'm going to bed early and do a bit of reading. :D
