Loyal Readers:
I'm looking at buying this barebones system to replace the Optiplex and hopefully provide a new home for some or all of the 'Plex's components - especially the secondhand video card that I got from [livejournal.com profile] jamestrainor. What do you technically-inclined folk think of this? I'd probably be running this under WinXP Pro or Win2K Pro, depending on what I can beg from local friends.

A case that small will have horrendous cooling problems.

Apparently there are additional heat sinks and gyrostabilizers available...

Hmm, looking at the specs it does have 1 PCI slot for an older video card and depending on the CPU the cooling shouldn't be much of an issue, Shuttle makes great cases for the form factor. My only concern would be is that it isn't going to be very expandable especially in the video card arena. You may want to look for a PCIe system and an inexpensive video card for that instead.

Not too worried about expansion. Thanks.
