technical difficulties
Weight was up slightly, BG was barely above normal, and BP was good.
Sure enough, when I woke up it was my turn in the draft. I took Gene Brabender (ex-Pilot, now Brewer) and re-signed Jim Bouton as my last pick. He won't be as good as he was last season, but he'll still be useful against left-handed pinch-hitters and similar annoyances.
Had a lot of problems getting the video call going with Doc Bui; apparently her camera and headphones weren't cooperating, so we wound up talking on the phone while I showed her my Excel spreadsheet. She's pretty happy with the progress on BG and is also satisfied with the change in BP readings since I've switched to checking it first thing in the AM. So we're going to cut back the Novolin R to 30 units at lunch, dropping it to 25 if my BG is normal.
After that, I ducked out to get tea, fruit, ground beef (on sale in 2-pound chubs for $5) and some other things, most of which won't be touched until I get back from Vegas on Thursday. Finally got hold of Dutch and talked with him for about an hour regarding plans to drop by on the Friday preceding Memorial Day , which I will do, though I'm still not sure if I'll stay in Rockville overnight or head up 270 to Frederick. The lure of Waffle House is strong, but there are other considerations.
Dutch signed off to fix dinner, and I devoured a fruit bowl before loading the laundry into the car and going across the street to Tonopah Station, where I did laundry while consuming a large dinner of garlic cheese curds, crunchy chicken salad, and some strawberry shortcake. Also got in some FGO, though it went a bit slow because the wifi over there isn't the greatest.
Came home, knocked out the bloggage, and went to bed a lot later than I was planning to. Well, regardless, I'll get a solid eight hours before packing up and heading down the road.
