Finishing up the draft
May. 16th, 2022 11:59 pmWeight went up a bit, but BG was normal all day and BP was good.
I woke to texts, Slack and Twitter informing me that it was my turn in the draft around 0900, so I got up and had a large mug of coffee with a slab of Irish cake before making my pick. I had just enough time to run down to the post office, clean out the mailbox, and hit Raley's for some tea, cube steak, and other items that were on sale before I got home and the first of my timed picks came up. We are almost at the end of the draft, and as I commented on Slack, if we were doing an auction we'd be down to the players who are overvalued at $1. I got some pretty decent players, myself, so I'm okay with the way things are going.
Originally intended to do laundry tonight but that didn't happen. I did get hold of Trish and will be doing lunch with her on Sunday, which will necessitate a drive from Frederick to Columbia unless I decide to stay overnight in Rockville or Laurel. I'll probably hear back from Dutch tomorrow; texted him this afternoon but he was DM'ing so had no time.
I have my room in Chantilly booked through Priceline and talked to their front desk guy about early check-in on the 25th. I might have to pay an additional fee, but I should be okay with that.
While the draft was going on I played a lot of AL, and before I go to bed I expect to make a good deal of progress on the F/GO event.
