Decisions, decisions
I'm trying to make up my mind what kind of head cover (if any) I should get to help me muddle through this last winter in Minnesota. Marshall's has some furry-looking ear flap hats which look like they should be quite warm and maybe large enough to stuff my headphones under, but they're almost certainly more expensive than the Thinsulate watch caps I saw at Menard's. Of course, I could just be hardcore and wear my Nationals baseball cap. What do you think, f-list peeps?

When I was on the cross-country ski team in high school, we had to be careful about wearing the appropriate layers, thickness, etc, and keeping our body temperatures stable. Wind exposure is bad. Breaking into a sweat is also very bad. I'd say try to get both.
I've found that nothing quite compares to leather or fur for the really really cold days. But both are too hot much of the time.

I already have the baseball cap, so the real question is whether to get the hat with flaps or the watch cap.

Also, remember last winter with the -20 windchill and such? I wore this annoying little floppy hat that keeps falling off, and it worked just fine. :) This winter I'm using this generic knit hat, and it also works just fine if it would stop creeping up over my ears...
