And Now, A Dystopian Warning From Professor Death

Instapundit:
SO MAYBE IT’S GLOBAL FREEZING AFTER ALL? It keeps looking more and more like Fallen Angels. Or maybe a John Ringo novel. I don’t want to live in either. . . .

Me neither, Professor Death. Both of those futures sucked really hard. In fact, I'd be hard pressed to decide which would be worse to live in, as I suspect I'd be dead fairly quick in both of them unless I could persuade somebody to let me back into the Guard right now.

My liberal associates are saying that it's because more water in the air means snow if the temperature is cold. But never mind it's cold--the median temperatures now are warmer than 1000 years ago!

"But glaciers are melting and early medieval villages are appearing," I said. "That means at one point that glacier wasn't there."

"That doesn't mean anything!" liberal friend-of-associate said to me.

How the heck does this guy manage to get around with his head shoved that far up his ass? Maybe some of my more conservative friends are right, and this is more of a religion than it is a scientifically-based theory.

Of course the climate is changing, and yes it does seem to be getting warmer except for when it's not. Remember back in the 70s when it was all about the global freezing and we were all going to starve to death?

Temperature changes, and it's extreme human arrogance to believe unswervingly that it's because of human action. I act as environmentally-friendly as I do because it's a good thing to do. I'm quite attached to this planet. However I know that it's bigger than us and I don't think these folks do.

I think it shows an appalling amount of ego to think that we can make that much of a difference in global climatic changes, short of setting off humongous quantities of dirty nuclear weapons.
