S-day minus three

So I went a little overboard last night, eating an entire small cheesecake and half an ice cream cake, but God was merciful and my GI tract didn't rebel against me. I've also steadily been losing weight over the weekend despite going out for Mexican for dinner. So I have that going for me.
Losing streak continued today; lost both games against the Orioles in Baltimore. They were both close games, but a close loss is still a loss, and worse yet, Cookie Rojas is out for 60 days. Del Unser also got crunched for three days, so I guess Mike Andrews will go back to starting at second (with Hal Lanier as late-inning glove man) and Johnny Callison will get called up to be our left-handed outfield bat. Hopefully we'll break our losing streak against the Cubs on Friday - we swept them in the first series at RFK, but Friday we'll be going to Wrigley, and I worry that some of our pitchers might feed their gophers.
The print shop in town didn't have any card stock, so I sent the membership list off to Caitlin and she took care of the printing and mailing. It looks like we'll get at least another ten people at the door, and for some reason we keep getting a few supporting memberships trickling in. Perhaps we'll get a few more people from the flyers I left at Meepleville and the notices on the Regiment Discord, but I'm not counting on it. I just want to get through the weekend, get all the hotel bills paid, and have enough left over to sleep and eat until I go home after the Security Site tour on Wednesday.
Tomorrow I'll go renew my driver's license at the DMV, pick up a tube of antibiotic ointment and maybe some tea at the Raley's, do my laundry, and start packing. Unlike my usual practice when heading down to Vegas, I'm going to try and pack most of my clothes and pills and bandaging supplies the night before, because I want to be on the road and checked into the Stratosphere around mid-afternoon so I can catch a brief nap before heading to Fogo de Chao for dinner and then to McCarran to pick up Maggie & Caitlin. The rest of the weekend promises to be hectic.

...and then I realized I have some Touhou games I DLed from someplace(doujinstyle? I forget, it's been years), and I have more than enough room to install them. Le sigh.
