Date: 2011-07-19 03:08 pm (UTC)WoW is always going to get more press than EVE because there's more people playing it, and even within EVE the number of people fighting, spying and jewing it up in nullsec isn't very large compared to all the people playing it safe in Empire space.
As a final note, Luke McKinney doesn't know jack about EVE. An Apoc (even the Imperial Fleet model) has about the same relation to the Death Star as an M5 Stuart has to an M1 Abrams. No spaceship in EVE can blow up a whole planet or even a moon. The closest thing to the Death Star would have been the Titans as they were originally deployed back in 2007, Those things could wipe out all but the most heavily-armored ships FROM FIVE LIGHT-YEARS AWAY with their remote doomsday capability, which made them damn near invincible. You can imagine what it was like trying to stop the damn things.
