Not a very good week on the weight-loss front, which wasn't really surprising; this past week I've done none of the things that worked and a lot of things that don't. So next week, the last week of this cycle, I need to change that and make some progress back toward where I was before AI. Currently I weigh 418 pounds on the nose, which is still almost five pounds less than I weighed at the start of this, but it's not nearly enough. I'd like to get back to 415, and it's not an unreasonable goal.
Got the laundry done last night, replaced the watch, and that's about all the constructive work I accomplished. Tonight I'm going to wrap up the sadly overdue authentic assessment so I can print it up and send it off with a cover letter explaining the delay. It would have been really easy to just go out to one of the website where teachers have posted lesson plans to share, and once I'm actually in a teaching position I suspect I'll do that now and again, but while I'm still in school it feels more than a little dishonest to be doing that. I'd rather whip something up from scratch, even if it takes longer. Any dolt can download stuff off the net. The real question is whether you can do something original with your own mad educational skillz, and I see these methods courses as the school's way of determining that you can.
Today's the day after the upload deadline here at the Evil Banking Neighbor, which of course means that I have a whole pile of files from people who either sent them late yesterday or asked me this morning if it was too late to submit their billing files. Like I'm in a position to pick up the phone and scream "DENIED!" at them. (I wish. The experience would do them good.) So there's actually a fair amount of work to be done today, huzzah.
In other good news, I e-filed my property tax refund over the weekend and got it back today, less the $400 and penalties I owe for my income tax. What's left ought to cover what I owe the IRS this month, and thus I make slow and painful progress out of debt.
