time to go home...and do what?

wombat_sochoIt's after 1800 here and I'm at loose ends. The original plan of getting together with P and going to see Earl Root thrash on guitar for Aesma Daeva went out the window last night when I went over the various bills that are due before I get paid on the 16th, and I don't really have anything planned for the rest of the weekend either.
Just as well that I have a couple of books (The Empire of Isher and Reveille in Washington) to read and Internet spaceships to fiddle with, I guess.
We were going to go out for Korean, but Luis has this irrational dislike for Korean, so we wound up going to the kabob place next door to the Il Mee. This is the second time I've been there, and I have to say I'm thoroughly unimpressed. They burn the lamb, the bread is mediocre, and I'm sure the rice did my blood sugar no favors. I did try some of the chicken kebab, which wasn't as badly carbonadoed, but meh. I'm not going there again, except to buy Luis the lunch I owe him from today since I left my wallet at the office by mistake.
EDIT/UPDATE: I wound up hanging around the office until 1915 editing the tags on my "bush of fandom" posts, dividing most of them into "Anime Detour" or "Convergence" categories, sometimes both.
