Tribes and their uses

michaellee posted this video featuring Seth Godin, wherein Godin talks about the necessity of marketing to tribes instead of trying to sell whatever it is you're selling to a mass market. It wouldn't be too hard to pick this to death, but i think Godin makes some good points. The important things to remember, imao, is that the world is a lot larger than your tribe of 1000 people, and that your great idea may only look great to your tribe.
