But the Japanese have. Trouble is -- this being Japan -- it stars animated bunnies fighting terrorist cats.

You hit the nail on the head about Hollywood

What a great story it could be, starting with the depths

-late 2006 insurgents are near there peak
-Iraq Study Group recommends surrendering and pretending to save face (ISG is composed of political luminaries including James Baker, bushs fathers secretary of state)

Bush says no. He wants victory. He finds people that can figure it out Petraeus etc, then in one of the great feats of political legerdemain bush convinces a democratic congress to approve the surge.

The surge works, despite constant denial by the mass media and the democrats. Us troops move out of the green zone and start to interface more with the locals leading to more intel and better relations.


Stupid idea for a movies

Maybe 20 years from now somebody in Hollywood (or Vancouver, LOL) will make it, and without the animooted bunnies and cats.

Come to think of it, there are some good independent documentary films out there, but that's not quite what we're talking about here.

I was just thinking about 20 years was the correct time frame for the fluff media image to die down. I'm sure we will have 30 more antiwar films between now and then.
