Originally planned to go to bed at a decent hour, but wound up awake until 0300 playing Civ and reading The Clan Corporate, so didn't crawl out of bed until around 1100. At least I got the dishes done last night.

Looks like I'll be heading over to the old place later today to do laundry and catalog books. I am going to try and get back on a regular sleep schedule, because if I don't, I know Tuesday will be five kinds of horrible, what with payroll and end-of-month business getting all snarled up in one big ugly tangle. No Goonmeet or T&EEC this weekend, of course.

Ed Morrissey smells fear.

Kirsten Powers spots the male chauvinist pigs - but they're Democrats! You know it's bad when even Media Matters notices.

Freeman Hunt skewers Taylor Marsh for narcissism: "In adult world where everyone has long since graduated from junior high school, that makes for strange reading."

Meanwhile, Ramesh Ponnuru feels the love after reviewing the Obamassiah's speech:
Finally, Andrew Sullivan calls my criticisms of Obama “vicious and surreal” as well as “paranoid.” Raising questions about Obama’s ties to Ayers and the like strike me as perfectly legitimate. “Vicious and surreal,” on the other hand, seem like the perfect words to apply to Sullivan’s attempts to convince people that McCain has been lying about his POW experience. Indeed, the words “vicious, surreal, and paranoid” would make a good motto for his site.

Frak. Left the lights on yesterday after driving home in the intermittent rain, so I'm now waiting for Carlos to show up with jumper cables. Going to pack up the laundry but hold off on the laptop until he gets here.

Somebody in the class of '78 (Oxon Hill HS) is organizing a joint reunion with my class ('77) at the Marriott Waterfront in National Harbor. Announced price is $125, which makes me wonder if this is some sort of formal dance/dinner kind of thing.
