Oof

I was expecting it to be bad, but not this bad. 

Woke up at obscene hour of the morning (0630), skipped breakfast in favor of black coffee and a protein bar, and wound up spending about two hours getting X-rayed at Image Dental, after which they gave me the really bad news - I need to have a couple of teeth pulled and replaced with implants, which is going to take about six months and set me back a little less than $7000 even with insurance, and they don't do nitrous. I am sorely tempted to get a second opinion, but I already have a couple of appointments set up for cleaning, and we'll see if I tolerate lidocaine/novocaine injections any better than I used to. 

I have time to think it over and get my credit reports clear of student loans so as to get better financing. Good thing I paid off the Kia. 

Agenda for today is to pick up some frozen veggies at Walmart and a food chopper, since the lid on the old one has disappeared, then refuel at Murphy Express and go home, hopefully arriving early enough to do the last blog post of the week.   

It's an ill wind that blows nobody good

 Much like 2020, when I was doing extremely well while a lot of people were sucking hind tit, 2022 is looking like another year when I'll be cashing in big time. The credit union didn't have my title, but they did arrange to have the DMV mail it to me (at the correct address) and the Members Auto guy was in and gave me an appraisal of the Forte. Looks like even with the body damage and windshield, I can sell it to a dealer for around $5000 - because used wheels are in very, very, short supply. So I would be able to cover most of my dental work with that, and pay for the Sportage as well. Wow.

I did not stop at Walmart, since there's nothing I really need and I'll be going back to Vegas in a couple of weeks anyway. Did pick up a couple of Sprite Zeroes at the Sonic on Decatur after topping off the tank at Murphy Express ($4.749, much better than a lot of other places).

The drive back from Vegas was uneventful, and I managed to miss the road destruction on 95. Still, I'm going to crash early, perchance to wake up and mongle links in the early morning.
