Went to the post office where all the stuff I ordered from Amazon was waiting, plus the title to the Kia from DMV. Speaking of which, I put in my info on driveway.com and fucked up the mileage so the offer is for a little less than $2800. Not good. I guess I'll talk to them about it in the morning, see if the correct mileage changes things.
Two of the things that came in the mail were the Klaus Schulze albums Mirage and Rheingold, the latter with Lisa Gerrard. Mirage sounds pretty good, and I guess I'll see how Rheingold sounds tomorrow. The other stuff included a new food chopper (I am sure the lid to the old one will reappear shortly) and metal chopsticks to replace the ones that went missing. They're probably behind the desk someplace, but I haven't got the gumption to dig through all the boxes...although I really, really ought to cut a bunch of them down and haul them out. Also, the debit card for PenFed CU arrived. I'm giving serious thought to moving all my available cash (except for a couple hundred bucks) to PFCU before I head east.
Heard back from Martin and Mark; will be seeing Martin on Tuesday after Balticon and Mark at the Wing Factory on Thursday and also at Willard's for lunch the day I head home. RS unfortunately is off camping that week, so I'm out of luck there.
Tomorrow I am hoping to close the deal on the black Sportage, hopefully for just a few hundred bucks, and then I can work on selling the Forte, hopefully for more than the $2800 I'm being offered right now. I think I can wait on making reservations for next week until Monday, when I ought to be able to score some last-minute deals.
Managed to get through the day without a nap, so I should be able to get right to sleep.
