A mostly wasted week
Jul. 28th, 2022 09:29 pmWeight went down for most of the week, but yesterday I had a big bowl of beef & rice and veggies (and the leftover Rice-a-roni) and followed it with some rice pudding with yogurt but without raisins, so this morning I packed on about a pound and a half to put me just over 389. I ate sparingly today so numbers should be better tomorrow.
Went out to get eggs and tea and also picked up some fig bars. My local Raley's seems to have discontinued the small Sunnyside Farms Greek yogurts, which is unfortunate since they were a really good deal even without sales and SE deals. Further up the road, it looks like the Family Dollar is having staffing issues; they are closing at 1800 during the week and not opening on Saturdays at all. So I guess I better get my razors tomorrow, and order a bunch more from Barbasol next Wednesday when the Social Security drops.
The unification of China fell three factions short - I took Shanxi and Xi San Ma, but after the Brits and their annoying friends invaded Manchuria, I had to punch them back and was fairly close to conquering the Free Vladivostok Republic when the Americans came in on the side of the Brits and Yunnan won the political struggle because I was paying too much attention to the military side of things. I knew I should have used Berger and Von Falkenhausen to trash them while all their troops were tied down in Burma...anyway, when the Germans took out the USSR, there went a good part of the steel I was importing, and when the Americans turned on me, that was pretty much the end right there.
Haven't made any progress on my continuing education; will have to do that tomorrow or next week at the latest. I did bag up some garbage from the bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen, though, and also ran the dishwasher.
