And then it really was Monday

Weight was back up (but not too much), BP was marginal, and BG was normal.

Woke up to the happy news that I have been appointed to the National Security Site Advisory Board, which doesn't pay anything but per diem when I have to travel to meetings, but apparently one of the perks is that I get to jump the line and tour the site next month on the 19th. 

I waited too long to cancel my Dynasty Baseball subscription and it automatically renewed this morning. Welp.

I need to go down and pick up stuff from the post office, and since it looks like a nice day, I think I'll drive around and do a little Ingress while I'm at it, since all I've done over the last couple of days is sit around and recharge things, do a little drone hacking, and not much else. Except for replenishing the tea supply, I won't be stopping at Raley's today; I'll just wait until tomorrow to get more eggs, raisins, fig bars (maybe) and dairy product for my coffee. 

Started to do another run-through with Poland, this time with a Fascist bent and early armor development, but it crashed for no apparent reason. I can take a hint. 

Christmas in September

Because I am weak, I ordered lunch from BK and ate it in the cemetery, as I so often do. Then I went to the post office and picked up all kinds of stuff: not only was a package from the VA pharmacy there -which proved to contain not just the test strips and metformin I asked for, but 5mg Amlodipine, which I really didn't need- but a box from Amazon with my new shoes, which Amazon had said not to expect until Wednesday, and a book from Martin, A Genius For War, by Trevor Dupuy. As I said to Martin in an e-mail thanking him for the book, it was something I couldn't afford when it came out in '77 because I was blowing all my money on D&D and SF conventions, and then I just plain forgot about it until it showed up in my mailbox. 

Picked up a six-pack of Arizona diet green tea at Raley's after tapping my kidneys and also got a box of Bob's Apple Pie Oat Bites because they were on sale along with a couple single packs of fig bars, which weren't. Then I went out and zorched a bunch of froggy portals (I'd actually started with the Bass Building after picking up stuff at the post office) on the south end of town, flipped and flagged the SDA church - shame, that one, it was an L6- and then headed out to the airport to take the water tank and recharge the Red Stack. I also scanned both portals, for all the good it's going to do me. 

My hair stylist texted me back tonight. As I assumed after not hearing from her for a week, she was out of town on vacation, but it looks like I'll get my ears lowered this week after all. 

Spent some time this afternoon before I went off to do errands and flip portals digging out Homeko and setting up HOI4 on her, then starting the Polish Fascism scenario. So far so good.

Was going to do laundry tonight, but I am out of energy and since I still have clean undies & support stockings, I can wait until tomorrow. Think I'll nuke a couple of brats for dinner and call it a night.
