That worked, sort of.
Oct. 17th, 2022 10:26 pmWeight dropped back down to 388 and a bit this morning. BG and BP were both normal.
Woke up before the alarm went off at 0900, had flax muffin & coffee for breakfast along with the last English muffin and toast.
Got the happy news that Fed per diem for Las Vegas is $120/day and that since I live so far away from the office they're going to pay me per diem for Tuesday night since I pretty much have to come down early. I might be getting mileage, too. Wow.
Also looks like Sarah and Daniel Hoyt will be coming to Son of Silvercon. So we have three guests and one paying member, which would be me. I put up notices in all the appropriate groups in MeWe and also in Gab.
Played Oakland today and the robot A's took two out of three. Surprisingly, the only winning pitcher was Coleman in game three; Marichal had a lead going in game 2 but Drabowsky blew the save and we lost the game in 16 innings. It particularly pissed me off that the robot kept Knowles out there for five innings (he's a short reliever) during which despite being tired he was just as effective as when he wasn't. Then Tichinski came in as an emergency pitcher and stifled us as well. We were bedeviled by injuries, too - Kaat in game 1, Cepeda in game 2 (which lead to Cowan playing first with his D70 rating, but he only muffed one play) and I think someone else got crunched for a day as well.
Wasted too much time on Civicrack, but I did get another bag of garbage loaded up and ran the dishwasher. Experimented with a garlic and parmesan/romano flax muffin to go with the frozen lasagna I had for dinner and it was okay, I guess. The SnarkyTea system is working moderately well with the mate I bought off Amazon, and I am going to pick up some more Mason jars while I'm in Vegas so I can have more jars of tea steeping in the fridge.
Back to bed tonight at a normal hour; hopefully I'll be able to hit the road before noon tomorrow so I can miss the rush hour in Las Vegas. I wonder if 515/Highway 11 is still shitty between the 15 and Boulder Highway.
Finished The Price of Glory this morning; still plugging away at Cryptonomicon.
