Plenty to be thankful for this year
Nov. 25th, 2022 10:06 pmUnlike some previous years when I was either horribly ill, reliant on the kindness of strangers, or otherwise having a miserable time, this year was a good one, and I was duly grateful for all my blessings, which God has been generous in granting this year.
The ham dinner was in fact waiting for me at the Raley's, which meant I didn't have to bust my ass on Plan B, just put some things in the oven and other things in the microwave, and wait for everything to warm up. It was all good, and I'm going to have leftovers for quite a while; I went out tonight to Raley's for more tea and some containers to chop up and freeze the ham with. Tomorrow.
I blogged a very short blog post and an even shorter node yesterday, and the latter got downvoted to hell. This amused me.
The abscess/boil/whatever seems to have shrunk and is leaking less, which I told the nurse from the primary care clinic when she called today. I slept for about an hour this afternoon, then got up and swept the NY Daytraders. Luck was with me for sure - any game in which Brinkman hits two homers (including the winning one) means the Luck Plane was tilted HEAVILY in my favor. Favorite game was game #3 - started Casey Cox, but the win went to Bouton (his second of the series) and the save to Brabender.
Made a playlist for Winamp that combined Astrix, John Foxx, Synergy, and Jean Michel Jarre. It probably needs more Synergy & Jarre since most of the tracks are by Foxx. No Ultravox, though.
