wombat_socho: (Tonopah)
I got part of the shipment from the Wisconsin Cheeseman Saturday (the butterkaese is MIA) and also picked up tea & other necessities at Raley's along with the turkey dinner. Somehow I managed to get everything upstairs in one trip, after which I scanned everything in and  stuffed the perishables in the fridge.

Christmas dinner went well; paid close attention to the cooking times, so the turkey came out fine along with the side dishes. I did not make the mistake of fixing extra stuffing or mashed potatoes, and I also forgot about the cranberry sauce, so I only gained three pounds from the two plates I consumed.* I didn't make more Irish cake because I was out of buttermilk and didn't want to use yogurt, and I completely forgot about gingerbread. Maybe I'll go out Tuesday to get the necessary buttermilk, tea, and idk what else I might want.

Gave up trying to deal with Frontier's fucked up website and just wrote them a check. I'll do the same when the SSDI comes next week.

Spent most of the weekend losing various level 5 scenarios as the Koreans, barely missing the completion of the Christmas event in F/GO (It'll be back) and completely ignoring Azur Lane. I downloaded Bioshock 2 and played with that but I am going to restart since I am trapped in that one room with the turret and Ammo Bandito with the turret and automedic busted, no ammo, damned little drill fuel, and hordes of splicers showing up every time I try to let the Little Sister harvest the Adam. Once I get all the other business of the day dealt with, at any rate; aside from the obligatory run to Raley's, I'll probably have to swing by the post office, if only to drop off the Frontier payment and the card to Doug.

*I made sure not to get any dessert items aside from what came in the box from the Cheeseman, being mindful of what happened last year when I overindulged in sweet things. Maybe it was just a coincidence, but maybe not, and I would prefer to avoid spending a couple of weeks in Hawthorne at the beginning of tax season, even without the flight to Provo and the miserable bus ride back from there.
