Gradual improvement
Mar. 24th, 2023 08:19 pmThe lads from Fastglass came by around noon to replace the windshield on the Kia and did a very efficient job of it, so now I have a new windshield that doesn't look like it's going to disintegrate into my lap the next time a pebble hits it. Set me back $465, but it was worth it.
I spent some time working on returns - actually pulled one down from fulfillment - and then went to get some BK and hit the post office. Ate too much at BK but managed to get all my stuff from the post office anyway, which was good since it included both flavors of insulin, all the meds I was missing, and some test strips, so now I should be set up to and past Balticon. Started catching up on said meds with the PM dosage, and while I haven't seen much difference in the BG or weight, the BP is noticeably down.
Today I also went to BK and the post office, but this time (despite what Informed Delivery said) there was nothing to pick up since I got it all yesterday. Didn't gorge myself at BK, just got the fish sandwich and a couple of O-rings with a Diet Coke. Stopped at Raley's on the way home and got more tea, hot dog buns, hummus, pitas to go with the hummus, and some shrimp, which I will bake tonight for dinner. Did two returns today, one from fulfillment.
Called Carlos yesterday on his birthday, found out he'd had a toe amputated since the last time we talked and is trying to get VA disability for a back injury he got while in an accident on Ft. Bragg during his active duty time. Hope it works out for him.
