Well, if you're not diabetic like yours truly, you shouldn't have to do strict Atkins to get the weight off - just shift to foods with a better glycemic index and more fiber. The main thing is to increase fat intake at the expense of carbs, and while most people do this by eating more red meat, cream, etc., there are other ways to do it. Eggs, for example.
