wombat_sochoApparently I've managed to lose about a dozen CDs and their holder sometime in the last three weeks. The really irritating part of this is that most of those were "originals" that I'd been planning on doing a mix CD of but hadn't yet gotten around to ripping yet, and - even worse- two of the others were James McMurtry CDs which will have to be ordered online since nobody around here seems to carry them except the Electric Fetus, which is massively inconvenient for me. I suppose in my current state of mind the last thing I need is to be listening to "Too Long In The Wasteland", "Outskirts", "Lobo Town" and "Dry River" (to name but a few) but this is another inconvenience I really don't need at the moment.
Fatigue makes you stupid, and when you're stupid you tend to do more stupid things that deprive you of sleep, making you even more tired and stupid...last night after the registration meeting (which went very well) I went home and instead of taking my mediine and going straight to bed, I stayed up checking the Canadian election returns until a little before 0100. This was gobsmackingly stupid since today was bound to be a slack day on account of my finishing the balancing on Monday and I could have spent time at work checking up on how well the Tories did. (Well enough to form a government with the Bloc Quebecois, though Harper is making polite noises about "working with all the parties".) Well, tonight I'm going to break the cycle by going home and getting plenty of sleep. In the meantime, I foresee a lot of coffee consumption on today's schedule.
