T-11, or, A Break In The Action

wombat_sochoForgot that I had an interview with NSSAB this morning, and then I couldn't get Microsoft Teams to work, so my (hopefully) future colleagues were denied the pleasure of seeing my unsmiling face. I think it went well, but with one exception all of my interviews in the last six years have been failures, so I'm tempering my expectations. Being on the NSSAB would be cool, and provide a little extra pocket money, but it wouldn't break my heart not to be on it, all the more so since it doesn't include Yucca Mountain in its purview.
Work was slightly less hectic than yesterday. Lots of WIP creations, but I did manage to cash out at least three returns. Got reamed for having a no-show last night, so I said the polite mea culpa instead of admitting that I was too tired at that point to really give a fuck. We're also having problems with Approve Online not sending notification e-mails to people, which means they have to come in and sign things, which is a pain in the ass for all concerned. As if we didn't have enough problems, the toilet in the bathroom has stopped working, which means we have to hike across the parking lot to Walmart. Hopefully this will be taken care of tomorrow or over the weekend. Both my last clients of the night had easy returns, so I actually got to leave half an hour early. Booya.

Lindsay recommended a salad place on the other side of the parking lot (Chop-It), and they're actually pretty good, even if they're a Pepsi joint. Might go there for a salmon Caesar tomorrow. Also, the UPS store is nearby, so I can drop off the old Kindle while doing the dinner thing.
Been listening to Pandora a lot because Winamp has gotten soggy and hard to light. Lots of interesting stuff from bands I haven't listened to in a while.
Going to go to bed early tonight, because I can.
