scraping by against the Dodgers

Weight was down, BG was almost normal, and BP was up a touch. I was careful about my eating for the rest of the day, and so my BG fell into the normal range & stayed there.
I did a lot of nothing today, in contrast to yesterday when it seemed I spent half the day on the phone with one of the local Republicans here in Tonopah. I had a package from the VA pharmacy show up at the post office, but I can get that tomorrow; yesterday's haul included a double order from Boca Java. Somebody must have screwed up, because I'm pretty sure I didn't order all that coffee, but what the heck, it'll get used. Speaking of coffee, the filters that Walmart was out of on Wednesday showed up via FedEx this afternoon. Woot.
Got edged out by the stinking Mayans at the last minute in my second game as George Washington, so I'm trying it again today, and will be concentrating on destroying those vile scum now that I have Minutemen available. Starting the game kept me up until all hours last night, and so I slept in until noonish today. Going to try and avoid that tonight so I can get up and get to the post office tomorrow to retrieve whatever meds the VA sent me; hopefully Metformin, since I'm getting to the bottom of this bottle.
This week was a mixed bag for my Senators. After going 5-2 against the Red Sox at RFK last week, I expected the Orioles, who were in last place in their division, to be easy pickings. Nope. Got blown out in the first two games and lost the third one 1-0 in extra innings. On the other hand, I took two of three from the Dodgers, but they were all nailbiters. I'm picking up Barry Moore on waivers because I can't rely on Jim Kaat to be my sole left-hander.
Am rereading the Spiral Arm series, in order, and am in the early chapters of The January Dancer. After that, I guess I'll dip into On Stranger Tides, which I found on sale while I was doing last week's Rule 5 post. Maybe there'll be some interesting stuff on KU after that.
Managed to land myself in Twitter jail for recommending that Taylor Lorenz put a plastic bag over her head if she's so terrified of catching the coof. They locked me down for a little less than a week, which is probably a good thing because Twitter is enormously distracting.
