Weight dropped like a rock this morning, probably because I had just two real meals and a couple slices of the soda bread w/granola & pecans that I had the robot whip up. BP was normal, BG was on the low side of nominal and dropped to normal before dinner.

I realized that since my W2 was available from Block, I had pretty much everything I needed to start my return. (The only thing I'm still waiting on is a 1099 from the credit union, assuming that they sent me one.) Interestingly, since I didn't take unemployment last year -too much of a hassle, frankly- my income actually went down this year despite all the extra money I made with Block. Of course, it didn't hurt that I claimed the expenses for going to Confinement last year, which I really should have done in 2021, too, but I can't remember why I didn't. Anyway, that boosted the losses on my Schedule C, which lowered my taxable income to less than my standard deduction, so I get all my withholding back plus a couple hundred bucks of earned income credit because according to the IRS I are still very poor. I doubt that whatever minimal interest I earned from the credit union will change that, but I'll catch holy hell if I don't list it, so...

While online checking my mail and doing my return, I noticed that my schedule had been tweaked so that I now need to be in the office this Saturday at noon, which means I need to be in Reno this Friday night. So I guess I'll start organizing my ditty bag, laying out my work clothes in the suitcase, and generally prepping things so that all I have to do Friday morning is pack up the nose hose, throw a few things in the pack and the range bag, and hit the road. I'll also poke Anne (cc: Elizabeth) regarding accommodations at the ESA or wherever they're going to stick me for the 2+ weeks I'll be in town. Finding out if they want me back in Reno for the rest of the month (i.e. for the weeks bracketing Confinement IV) can wait until I get there.

Weather is supposed to be pretty decent for the rest of the week both here and in Reno; they're looking at highs in the low 40s up there over the weekend. Here's hoping it stays that way through the rest of my stay there.
