wombat_sochoMy flight out of Dulles was delayed, but I guess we made up time on the way to MDW or maybe on the MDW-LAS leg, because we got into McCarran around midnight PDT. I was tired as fuck, not having slept well in the preceding couple of days, so instead of waiting for an Uber I snagged a cab and headed for the Stratosphere. Woke up way too early this morning and took an Uber to the VAMC where I discovered that my appointment was actually on Thursday 6/1. Arrrgh. Had breakfast there and then went to Pep Boys vis Uber, got the Kia out of hock, and went back to the Stratosphere where I got another four hours of sleep.
I did a catchup blog without Feedly stuff and am now going to bed in the futile hope of getting a decent night's sleep before going to my podiatry appointment at the correct time. Will probably come back to the room and blog, or maybe waste time on Civicrack.
I did manage to get together with Doug on Monday for a few hours; we ate Korean-style BBQ at a Japanese place near Columbia, then I went over to Frederick, checked in at the Days Inn, and had more meats & conversation with Brian and Brenda. Did not manage to connect with Toni before I left on Tuesday.
