Back on the mountain again

wombat_sochoSo I got a good ten hours or so of sleep at the Cannery after doing an abbreviated blog post, eating some chicken tortilla soup and a turkey club sandwich for dinner at Victory's which was very heavily discounted so that it literally cost me less than half of list price. I plowed my savings into an excessive number of ice cream novelties at the casino store, which soothed my throat some.
Got up about 1000, packed, did the express checkout, and was on the road to Sonic for fluids and a breakfast burrito before heading for Maverik and cheap E15 gas along with some bottles of Sprite Zero and a couple of rib bundles. Then it was on to the NSB office on Aliante & Centennial to drop money into the account, followed by a brief stop at the nearby Dutch Bros for some badly needed iced coffee. Why I didn't get that at Maverik, idk, but it worked out well. Then it was on to Indian Springs and a stop at the Family Dollar for razors and generic Zyrtec to try and suppress my sore throat (it helped) before heading for the Amargosa Springs rest stop, where I ejected garbage and whizzed before heading north again. With the exception of a brief phone call with Doc Lisa to reschedule today's video appointment until next week, I kept going from Amargosa Springs until I got into Tonopah, where I stopped briefly to nuke the Kirchen portal and hit Level 15.
Brought ice bag, backpack and nose hose up and noted that the window AC unit promised last Monday had been installed while I was gone and that the thermostat was still upgefuckt. Played Cleveland promptly at 6 and swept them, but they were all close games, and one of them cost me Willie Mays for a week. We'll just have to muddle through without him.
Going to do the daily blogging and retire, I think.
