wombat_sochoI was pleased and surprised that the DOE reimbursement dropped today, which allowed me to pay down a couple of the Capitol One cards and have some cash left over for fuel on the way to and from Las Vegas. I'm tempted to leave a little late since Governor Lombardo is coming to town tomorrow for an open house at the El Marques, but I think I'll be better off just grabbing my backpack and cooler, stopping by Raley's for tea and chicken salad sammiches, and getting the fuck out of town. I've already made reservations for a night at the Strat, and expect to be home tomorrow afternoon well in advance of the N3F Zoom meeting.
Don't have much to say about the Charlie Kirk assassination. I didn't follow him closely before, and I am not in the target demographic for TPUSA, but watching the furious reaction from people on the right who are realizing their kid's teachers, college professors, doctors, and sundry politicians are A-OK, nay, even enthusiastic, about conservatives getting gunned down in public...this is not going to end well for the Left and particularly not for the troons, who are going to see what little sympathy they were getting from average Americans just dry up and blow away. SecWar Hegseth is also going to be busy rooting out leftards who made rank under Obama and Biden, too. Interesting times.
In F/GO, I used the free 4-star pick to draw Don Quixote, and didn't have much trouble ascending him and getting him to Bond 3, which were the requirements to keep him.
The foam mattress topper I bought a while back is disintegrating. I think in November I'll order another one and this time get a bag to put it in so I don't have chunks of foam going all over the place.
