I noticed while reading Instapundit sometime in the last couple of days that Thomas Dolby has begun blogging. What I didn't realize is that synthesizer technology has come so far in two decades, a Fairlight that set Mr. Dolby back 120 G's in 1982 can now be stuck into your PC for a mere $180, according to Ed Driscoll.
Other things not readily available in 1982: MP3 players, software to feed them with, broadband Internet for the masses that allowed downloading of music, and, really, this vast array of blogs to learn about it on. What price progress?
