A day of rest

wombat_sochoAbsolutely nothing planned for today. I'm going to stay in, put my feet up, and do some baking, I think.
The egg nog bread has an almost too subtle flavor, and probably would have been better if I'd thrown in a shot of brandy in lieu of the rum flavoring the recipe called for (which I didn't have). The result is something like delicately-flavored pound cake, which isn't a bad thing at all. Cutting back the sugar to half what the recipe called for worked okay.
