I didn't think it was going to be this bad, though. Just finished doing my Federal, State and property taxes for 2003 - sweet bleeding Jesus, did I ever get hosed. For the first time in years I didn't generate more deductions by itemizing than by taking the standard deduction, and that really hurt since I pulled a couple grand out of the IRA last year to make mortgage payments so I could sell the house. Wound up owing a little less than a grand to the IRS and a little less than $200 to Governor Tim and the lads in St. Paul. About the only bright spot is that I got all of the state tax back and then some when I filled out the property tax refund. First time for everything, I guess.

I think I'll grab a yogurt and console myself with some baseball stats, especially since I have my Yahoo! fantasy draft tomorrow.
