I did nothing! And it felt GOOD!

Well, I wasn't totally inert, but I was awfully sedentary. Worked late Friday night and got home around 9 PM; nobody was home, so I went down to the office to pick up some packages and found Karl, Joella, Melody, Troy and Aaron at the front door of the apartment hauling her new bed in. I contributed to this effort by staying out of the way, eating a sandwich, and introducing Joella to Diet Rite Kiwi Strawberry, which is pretty good stuff. After the bed was asssembled we trooped off to Ikasu for sushi, since it was a lot closer than Sushi Tango. It was a good decision - the chefs got Aaron drunk on account of how it was his birthday - a day late, but why not? He wound up crashing at our place as a result, which was okay.

Saturday I was mostly antisocial, holed up in my room most of the day putting CDs up on eBay and puttering around looking at this and that on the Internet. Melody changed her mind about going to MinneTokyo, but apparently she had gotten her allergies set off by something uncovered while cleaning & rearranging her room, since she only lasted through Azumanga Daioh before I had to take her home. After I got home from MinneTokyo around 0030 I hung out online and listened to about an hour of The Root Of All Evil, hosted by the Sheckmaster General in lieu of Earl this week for no announced reason, then crashed.

Meant to get up at 10 on Saturday but slept in instead, then proceeded to spend the afternoon surfing before being prodded out of my lethargy by Melody, who wanted to go get a USB cable for her camera at best Buy. We did this, hung out with Kale afterwards, and then went off to Buca for dinner with Kale & Lauren. Dinner was excellent (as usual for Buca), the conversation equally so - mostly about movies, which Melody needs to see a lot more of - and over too soon.

Today, it's back to work on the remaining 38 pages of Mortgage AU. Thus the music.

how is Sushi Tengo? I've never been and am hesitant to try since they look so trendy...

Despite the trendiness, it's actually pretty good - and they don't stick wasabi in everything as they do at Ichiban, which is a good thing. Pricewise, it's a little more expensive than Ikasu but not as spendy as Fuji-Ya. [livejournal.com profile] phoenixalpha claims the salmon is fresher at Sushi Tango than it is at Ikasu, but I can't tell the difference, probably because I prefer maki to nigiri.

Hm. They don't look anything alike, either. Well, I'm not rush Limbaugh, after all, I'm entitled to an error rate higher than 6%.

Sushi Tango is one of Lauren and I's favorite places for sushi in the Twin cities. It's truly excellent.

And as I recall there were a number of films YOU hadn't seen either...

how can you not have seen the Godfather films...
