Lileks, who I haven't talked to for a while, is a fine writer, a trekkie, and a good man. He's one of the people I know slightly and would love to count an active friend.

It's not just the press. Well, I guess Spiegelman counts as part of the press these days, in the same way that Oliphant and Rall do. But there are a lot of people who don't get Lileks' point, when they should have gotten it years ago when the Palestinians started blowing themselves up in the middle of Israeli crowds and schoolbuses.
