The history of RA is part of Goonfleet's history, really, since when GF was a widely-despised pariah corp of T1 n00bs the Reds were the only ones to offer a hand and a refuge. So we celebrate our overlords' ally's history as well, because it reinforces what awesome people they are.

No argument that lagfests and POS shooting are pretty boring, and I've done my share of both. Part of this is because CCP can't/won't shuffle big battles off onto their own server so the other 30,000 people screwing around in Empire don't affect the battle, and part of it is because sieges and trench warfare are inherently dull.
