Hey, you're showing little kids that art can be fun and beautiful, as opposed to all this abstract/modern art that hurts to look at sometimes.

I think some abstract art can be appreciated by children, and certainly there are pieces from the Renaissance that are gory in the extreme, or horrifying. The problem to me has always seemed more in the attitude of the people making it... the difference between, "I do this and it's so deep and it makes me better/more rarified than you" or "I do this and we can both enjoy it, isn't that awesome!"

Art can divide people, or connect them. I like connection. :)
