Looks like Yawara! will finally hit the American market after all. I'd be happy to see it sub-only, but I'm not about to be picky.

There's also a fan-based effort to re-do the ending of Mahoromatic: Something More Beautiful, which has one of the worst endings ever, even for a Gainax series - and they're legendary for bad endings. We can always hope this turns out well - after all, they did do a version of NGE with a happy ending...oops, no, that was a PS2 game, wasn't it?

As is unfortunately common on the last day before final invoices run, it's been absolutely dead here at work. I spent a lot of my time doing ATC/Detour stuff for lack of anything else to do. Fortunately, it's almost quitting time, and I think since I didn't take an afternoon break I'm going to leave a litle early.

There's a translated PC version of Girlfriend of Steel for download on Bittorrent, I believe. That's where I remember downloading it from, anyway.

Interesting. I'll never understand why the game companies don't take advantage of fansub/translation efforts like that - pay the xlators a nominal fee, buff it up a little bit, and do an Anglosphere release. It'd pretty much be found money, y'know?

Prolly because most game makers think that certain games are more for a "niche" market over here. Which, IIRC, is one of the reasons the original Princess Maker 2 never got an official release over here.

To say nothing of 4 Days At Ohtori, or To Heart, though I've heard rumors that they're actually going to release a subbed version of that.
