Schneier on the REAL ID Act
May. 10th, 2005 10:29 amGood to know I'm not suffering from premature senility. Former fellow StippleAAPA-hacker has some harsh criticisms of the new law, which imposes federal standards on state driver's licenses, on grounds of both security and privacy. While I don't agree with Bruce on everything, he's rarely wrong about the security issues (it's what he does for a living, after all, and he does it very well) and he's a reasonable libertarian when it comes to privacy issues. So pay attention, and as Professor Death advises, RTWT.
