Down by the river
Sep. 5th, 2006 10:41 amSpent part of yesterday evening driving up and down Route 101 in Shakopee looking for the accesses to the Minnesota River Valley Wildlife Refuge, which has a number of hiking trails, but didn't find them and wound up in some u/i little state park (or scientific/natural area; there was no sign - just a bare bulletin board) instead. We did maybe half an hour's worth of hiking before deciding there were too many mosquitos under the trees and decamping to El Toro for dinner.
( So how was it? )
All this high living and the relative lack of exercise (to say nothing of having fallen off the FitDay horse again) did nothing for my waistline as I tacked on another 2.4 pounds and rose over 418 for the first time since July. Well, time to get back on the horse.
