W goes to Brazil to get ethanol alliance rolling, one of the many good things he's done for the environment that he never gets credit for. Leftards go apeshit and start wailing about the rainforest. Investor's Business Daily calls bullshit on the enviros. (Instapundit)
I'm no big fan of the whole push for ethanol. Sure, it's going to make a lot of Midwestern corn farmers rich people (which is good) along with ADM (not so much) but thanks to the asinine import tariff on ethanol, folks on the Atlantic and Pacific coasts are going to get their wallets raped. That's the part I have a problem with, and that's why I don't have a lot of sympathy for the suits at the Renewable Fuels Association. They'll fight to the last appetizer tray to keep that tariff in place, even though it screws the consumers on the coasts and poisons our relations with Brazil. I say throw them and that ignorant fuck Achim Steiner all under the bus.
