better days ahead

Well, I finally got an assignment for next week - at $22/hour, no less. Which is good, since today was pretty much a write-off. I've spent most of it playing internet spaceships, doing laundry, and reading A Savage War of Peace. I need a change of pace, and I'm not sure Look to Windward is quite what's needed*; fortunately, I do have Dad's copy of The World of Jeeves, which is about as far away from the savagery of Algeria in the 1950s as one can get, I think.
