Apparently Kaiser is seizing this opportunity to boot me from their plan, on the grounds that I have "pre-existing conditions". Well, yeah, they're the conditions I've been treated successfully for and which are no longer an issue. Asshats. Well, no choice but to appeal; maybe I can sneak in the back way through the NRA's health insurance program if that doesn't work, or just get some other kind of individual plan until I get a job with Kaiser coverage. We'll see how that works out. All I really need at this point is to have a doctor on tap in case the leg gets reinfected so I can get antibiotics; the prescriptions for Lasix, insulin, needles, test strips and diabetes medications are good for a few months yet.
