a whole new appreciation for morphine

Thanks to various delays, they didn't actually begin the surgery until about 4 PM yesterday, which meant by the time they were done it was 8 PM and so I wound up staying overnight. Pain control was through a combination of Percocet and morphine, and that worked very well indeed. My legs are two solid masses of Ace bandage from toes to thighs. P came and picked me up this afternoon, dropped me at home, and headed out to her place so as to avoid rush-hour traffic.

I think I'm going to reassemble my nose hose, take a couple Percocet, and nod out for a while. Just wanted to let folks know I'm home and okay.
