Healing progesses. This morning's fasting glucose was 158, the best it's been in over a week, and a sign both that the infection has been broken and that my avoidance of hospital starches is working. Inflammation and swelling are both down from yesterday, but it still hurts when I put weight on the leg. The docs and I are hoping that by Monday -my projected release date- the leg will hurt less so I can walk around without needing some kind of king-hell industrial-strength Schedule 1 painkillers.
There's also some logistical considerations. I have no clean clothes at all, I have stuff to retrieve from the Doubletree, and doing this by bus is going to eat most of a day. Ought to be interesting to see if the money holds out.
